“Video Shows Hillary Shunning Homeless Man

After campaign bloopers like her husband’s pardon of FALN terrorists and her disastrous Mideast trip in November, first lady Hillary Clinton has seized on the issue of homelessness to jump-start her flagging bid to represent New York in the U.S. Senate.

“We shouldn’t be criminalizing the homeless with mass arrests for those whose only offense is that they have no home,” Mrs. Clinton said last week, in a direct slap at the homeless policy of her expected opponent, New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani.

But after a videotape shot during the Clintons’ 1992 presidential campaign is aired tonight by Fox News Channel, the issue of homelessness may turn out to be yet another exploding cigar for Mrs. Clinton.

At the opening of his WABC radio show, Sean Hannity debuted the audio portion of the clip for his New York audience. Hannity intends to broadcast the video coast to coast tonight on his own TV show, Fox News Channel’s “Hannity & Colmes.”

The tape features Mrs. Clinton greeting a disoriented-sounding homeless man on the street:

HILLARY: How ya’ doin’?

HOMELESS MAN: How you doin’, ma’am?

HILLARY: I’m doin’ good. My name is Hillary Clinton. You going to vote in the primary?

HOMELESS MAN: AAAAHHHHHHH, you damn right. I’m for him all the way.

HILLARY: Well, we need your help.

HOMELESS MAN: I’m a street person and let me …

HILLARY: Well, good. Is that your stuff?

HOMELESS MAN: [Unintelligible] to buy [unintelligible] …

HILLARY: No, I can’t. I got to go. But thank you for saying hello to me today.

Next, the tape is said to show Clinton aides hustling the man away from Hillary. He then asks one unnamed Clinton staffer for a dollar. Instead, the female aide gives the homeless man a voter registration card and urges him to vote, “So that people who are in economic harm can elect a president who’ll get this country back on track.”

The full video debuts tonight on “Hannity & Colmes,” Fox News Channel — 9 p.m. to 10 p.m., EST.”
