Hillary suspends campaign
Hillary Clinton announced on Saturday, June 7, 2008, that she is suspending her campaign. She will maintain control of her delegates. Hillary endorsed Obama and asked all to join her in working hard for Obama. Hillary was forced to support Obama in this speech by the DNC. However, she spoke mainly of the Democrat Party and the desire to put a Democrat in the White House. She also spoke of women and their rights. She mentioned that the 18 million votes she got was a crack in the wall blocking women.
Hillary Clinton is suspending her campaign at the end of this week. This gives her control of her delegates going into the convention. Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi have called for the remaining delegates to declare their intentions by Friday.
