Glenn Beck leaves Fox with soul, Fox deal with devil?, Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Tala, Beck:  traded my soul before I will not trade it again

“Why has Obama, for over 2 years, employed numerous private and government attorneys to avoid presenting a legitimate birth certificate and college records?”…Citizen Wells and millions of concerned Americans

“Why did Bill O’Reilly use birth announcements as evidence of Obama’s birth in Hawaii and mislead the American public?”…Citizen Wells

“Accuracy in Media (AIM) is urging a full inquiry into a report that a Saudi billionaire caused the Fox News Channel (FNC) to dramatically alter its coverage of the Muslim riots in France after he called the network to complain. The Saudi billionaire, Al-waleed bin Talal, is a friend of News Corporation chairman Rupert Murdoch and controls an influential number of voting shares in the company.

“This report underscores the danger of giving foreign interests a significant financial stake in U.S. media companies,” declared Cliff Kincaid, editor of Accuracy in Media.

The controversial comments came at an Arab media conference featuring representatives of Time magazine, USA Today, PBS, The Wall Street Journal, and other news organizations. The conference and the Saudi Prince’s growing influence in News Corporation are among the subjects of a new December-A AIM Report that has just been posted at the AIM website ( The report raises the specter of Arab money influencing News Corporation and other U.S. media companies.”

“But Citigroup got $20 billion from the Treasury Department over the weekend of November 22/23—just before Thanksgiving—without any national debate or discussion at all. The Federal Reserve simply issued a press release announcing that the taxpayers were on the hook not only for the $20 billion but $306 billion in loans to the company. That’s on top of a previous $25 billion invested in the company by the Treasury Department.

Auto company executives may have flown to Washington, D.C. on private jets, as Bill O’Reilly and others noted, but Saudi Arabian Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, who has a major stake in Citigroup and also invests in the Fox News parent company, News Corporation, reportedly lives in a $100-million 317-room Riyadh palace. A nephew of Saudi King Abdullah, Alwaleed has been called the “Warren Buffett of the Gulf” and runs the Kingdom Holding Company.”

From NPR September 1, 2010.

“The proposed construction of an Islamic center and mosque close to ground zero in New York City has inspired intense scrutiny from news outlets this month — and few have outstripped the Fox News Channel in their interest.

That’s especially true on Fox’s opinion-driven shows in the morning and evening hours. Familiar figures including Sean Hannity and Laura Ingraham have repeatedly asked where the money for the center will come from.

Yet the parent company of Fox News shares a financial backer with the imam who is at the center of the firestorm. The second-largest holder of voting stock in News Corp. is Saudi Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal, a nephew of the Saudi king. And through his philanthropies, Waleed has given generously to initiatives pursued by the imam, Feisal Abdul Rauf.

But that connection has not been spelled out by Fox to viewers. Fox’s intense coverage of the Islamic center, combined with its lack of disclosure about the corporate connection to Waleed, has sparked scorn from some media critics and from liberals — including, repeatedly, from satirist Jon Stewart.”
“The prince had long been Murdoch’s business partner in News Corp. — but that year he arranged a share swap in which he obtained more than 30 million voting shares.”
“Khan says he asked Waleed about anger in some Arab circles about the rhetoric heard on Fox, and the prince replied this way:

Look, I’m not there to direct the news policy, I’m there to invest in News Corp. — and hopefully they’ve got some sense to do news properly.”
But the neoconservative Muslim commentator Stephen Schwartz argues that the seeming tension between the prince’s investments and his charities provides evidence that he wants to keep one foot in Western business and political circles — and the other in radical Islamic camps.

“Al-Waleed bin Talal wants to be seen as a modernizer and a person who’s open to various points of view,” Schwartz, executive director of the Center for Islamic Pluralism, tells NPR. “But it always comes back to the grievance paradigm.”

“Bill O’Reilly and Glenn Beck continue to insult concerned Americans who question Obama’s eligibility. They refer to them as birthers and right wing nuts. However, even Lou Dobbs while still at CNN asked why Obama doesn’t present a legitimate birth certificate.”

“On at least two occasions prior to age eighteen I was required to present an official, stamped, long form birth certificate obtained from the county of my birth in NC. Imagine someone on the Fox Network, which purports to be fair and balanced, someone who claims to do research and ask probing questions, using a birth announcement as proof of birth in a specific location on a specific date. Not just proof of birth for someone playing little league but someone who ran for and now occupies the White House. Well folks, we have such a person in Bill O’Reilly and he admitted it during the Donald Trump interview on Fox on March 30, 2011. Are you feeling really good about Fox?”

“Why does the article contain these statements?

“Expert: No Doubt Obama’s Birth Certificate Is Legit”

“But a leading software expert says there’s no doubt about its authenticity, and he dismisses claims of fraud as flat-out wrong.”

A disturbing trend has developed at Fox. Bill O’Reilly misled the American people for several years by stating that he had done research and that Obama was born in Hawaii. We recently got confirmation that he relied on the birth announcements. Now Jana Winter misrepresents what the Adobe software expert has said.

Did Fox make a deal with the devil?”
