Fidel Castro, on February 19, 2008, announced that he is retiring. Castro, a major player in the cold war, cuban missle crisis and Bay of Pigs invasion, outlasted his contemporaries. Castro was also part of many conspiracy theories concerning the assasination of John Kennedy. Castro, it could be argued, was somewhat pro US in his early years and spent some time here.
