Why did Snopes.com state that Barack Obama, Sr. lived in Connecticut when there is no evidence to support his living there and no other source, including Wikipedia, corroborates it.

“As noted above, Barack Obama’s parents divorced when he was only two years old, and his father then moved thousands of miles away, from Hawaii to Connecticut”

Why did Carol Bengle Gilbert write the following and use Snopes.com as a source?

“A private investigator named Susan Daniels unleashed a firestorm when she and another unrelated private investigator made public allegations that President Obama appears to be using a fraudulent Social Security number.

 Daniels told World News Daily she’s “staking [her] reputation on a conclusion that Obama’s use of this Social Security number is fraudulent.” The Social Security number is question has an 042 prefix indicating issuance in Connecticut.”

“But the telling evidence that this latest Birther claim is unreliable is the scant research about any connection between Obama and the state of Connecticut underlying it. To obtain a Social Security card with a Connecticut prefix, Obama would have used a Connecticut mailing address on his application. Daniels uncovered no connection between Obama and the state of Connecticut, telling World News Daily, “There is no family connection that would appear to explain the anomaly.”

What about Obama’s father, also named Barack Hussain Obama, who lived in Connecticut after divorcing Obama’s mother? That doesn’t count as a family connection?”

“Kofi Annan’s philosophy seems to resonate with children who admire Barack Obama. My children, ages 9, 10 and 14, have always accompanied me to the polls as do the children of many other parents in my community. My 14-year-old, Andy, found out about the Leesburg rally and asked me to take him and a friend. This is the last presidential election before the boys will be old enough to vote, so it seemed especially fitting to make the trip. My daughters Cindy and Amy both admire Obama and wanted to come along.”

“I explained that I wasn’t sure how close we would get to Barack Obama because we would be in a huge crowd. In case we did get to talk to Obama, Jacob asked me to deliver a message:

“If you see Obama,” he said, “tell him two little boys really look up to him.”

Those two little boys are not alone. My daughters reported that several children at school were jealous that they were getting to go see Obama. On the way into the rally, a little girl no more than 3 smiled at me and

What amazed me most was that even when the children couldn’t see Obama from their distant perches atop parental shoulders or their positions peering between adult bodies, they retained their interest in getting a glimpse of him.”
