Marc Rich, Denise Rich, Clinton pardons, criminals, Denise Rich donations, Rewriting History
Dick Morris, in his book “Rewriting History”, addresses the Marc Rich pardon and large donations to the Clintons and Democratic Party from the exwife of Marc Rich, Denise. Here are some excerpts: “Of course, that was not Clinton’s only problematic pardon. The most controversial went to Mark Rich, a fugitive who fled the United States, renounced his American citizenship, and settled in Switzerland to avoid answering federal fraud charges. National anger over pardoning a man who wouldn’t appear in court and was no longer even an American citizen-and still won’tRead More

Brattleboro VT, Brattleboro reformer, Vermont, chicagotribune.com, brattleboro out of bounds
The vote in Brattleboro Vermont and statements about George W Bush and Dick Cheney are causing quite a stir. The citizens of Brattleboro VT are calling for the impeachment of president Bush and his arrest. They are making outlandish claims based on faulty data and it is backfiring on them. People who formerly liked Vermont and vacationing there are reconsidering. There has been a huge backlash. Normal folks in places like North Carolina and much of the nation, do not like the president of the United States being threatened andRead More
Douglas Kinnard, UVM professor of political science, The War managers, University of Vermont, Vietnam vs Iraq, Question for professor, General Kinnard
First of all, I believed that we should not be in Vietnam when the war was going on and I believe that even more so now. I also respect Americans that served in Vietnam and followed their conscience. Dwight D Eisenhower, in a 1961 speech, warned of the military industrial complex. Here is the quote: “In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and willRead More
Bush impeachment, Arrest, Iraq war, 1984, George Orwell, Minnesota, Liberal Democrats
I just received this comment from someone that is apparently associated with Minneapolis Minnesota and many left wing liberal groups. They actively promote ideas of impeaching President Bush, arresting Bush and that the president’s administration is involved in illegal activities such as wiretapping and torture. I would expect this kind of thought process in Minnesota just as I would in Vermont. Maybe the cold weather and indoor life affects their brains. I went to one of their websites, and after scanning through their ridiculous comments, I came to the bottomRead More
